Das Heft umfasst 148 !! Seiten, das lange Vorwort (eine ganze Seite) stammt von niemandem geringeren als BONO und ist mehr als gelungen. Kurzes Zitat: "I think the Vegas period is underrated. I find it the most emotional. By that point Elvis was clearly not in control of his own life, and there is this incredible pathos. The big opera voice of the later years - that´s the one that really hurts me.
Neben einer durchgehenden "Zeitlinie 1953-1977" (siehe contents) werden auch folgende Alben näher vorgestellt: "The Sun Collection", "Elvis", "Elvis Is Back", "Spinout", "From Elvis In Memphis" und "That´s The Way It Is". Die Rubrik "Elvis People" umfasst: "The Million Dollar Quartet", "The Bands", "The Songwriters" und "Colonel Tom Parker".
FAZIT: Mit diesem Magazin ist es den Herausgebern gelungen einen hervorragenden Überblick auf Elvis Karriere zu geben. Ergänzt durch eine Vielzahl an Bildmaterial, Zeitungsausschnitten usw. und dies alles in einem wie ich meine tollem Layout. Dass einige wenige Texte zu den Bildern nicht ganz stimmen. Seis drumm. Wir haben in der Vergangenheit schon schlimmeres erlebt. Ich kann dieses Magazin wirklich Jedem nur empfehlen.
